On October 22–23, 2025, Betso Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the North East Development Commission (NEDC), hosted the Pathways to Peace Youth Summit at Jibril Aminu Hall, Federal College of Education, Yola. The summit, themed “Empowering Youths for a Peaceful and Drug-Free Future,” brought together young people, leaders, and stakeholders to address the challenges of drug abuse and insecurity.
The two-day event featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by experts, policymakers, and youth advocates. Conversations focused on building resilience, promoting peace, and equipping young people with practical solutions to challenges within their communities. Creative activities, including spoken word performances and a drug abuse documentary, enriched participant engagement.
A key highlight was the Community Action Planning and Pledge for Peace, where participants committed to becoming ambassadors of peace and advocates against drug abuse. The summit concluded with networking activities and a symbolic football match, reinforcing unity and teamwork.
The Pathways to Peace Youth Summit reflects Betso Charity Foundation’s commitment to empowering youth as drivers of lasting peace and positive change.
