From May 19 to May 30, 2025, Betso Charity Foundation implemented the Vunoklang Women Protection & Empowerment Initiative (VWPEI) in partnership with American University of Nigeria, United Nations Population Fund, and the Norwegian Government.
The initiative focused on promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) awareness and addressing Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies (GBVE). Key activities included community sensitization, psychosocial first aid for survivors, a dedicated SMS and toll-free helpline, dignity kit distribution, and referral support for continued care.
VWPEI strengthened access to essential services while empowering women and girls with the knowledge and support needed to live free from violence and improve their well-being.
